Here in Maine, a bunch of concerned families are fighting against the Supports Intensity Scale, a new rule that DHHS is about to start using to determine what services people get. It's wrong for Maine and wrong for people with disabilities, and this week we scored a major victory--we got 9 out of the 13 members of the HHS committee to agree to review the new SIS rule. Thanks to everyone who signed the online petition or filed opposition comments back in January. Those comments set a new record!
